When you land at Kilimanjaro Airport in Tanzania, go through customs and then find your driver. They will be waiting for you with a sign that has your name on it, all set to take you to Moshi.

This morning, make your way to Lake Manyara National Park, which is beautifully situated against the stunning escarpment of the Rift Valley. The park boasts a vibrant groundwater forest and a variety of ecosystems, such as acacia woodlands, grassy plains, a marshy fan delta, and the expansive lake itself. This diverse environment attracts a wealth of wildlife, including mammals, birds, and the elusive tree-climbing lions. Visitors can experience fantastic game viewing, with buffalo, impala, giraffe, bushbuck, waterbuck, hippos, and large herds of elephants frequently spotted near the lake. Don’t forget to look out for blue monkeys, vervet monkeys, and playful olive baboons as well.

Discover the wonders of a half-day game drive in Serengeti National Park, famous for its breathtaking landscapes and the incredible Great Wildebeest Migration. The scenery is wonderfully varied, featuring vast grasslands in the south, savanna dotted with acacia trees in the center, hilly wooded grasslands in the north, and expansive woodlands and black clay plains to the west. Your adventure also includes a game drive on the way to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

After breakfast, embark on a half-day cultural adventure in Mto wa Mbu, a charming village nestled in the Great Rift Valley, just north of Lake Manyara and near the entrance to Lake Manyara National Park. Dive into a range of cultural activities, such as sampling banana beer from the Chagga tribe, watching skilled artisans carve ebony wood from the Makonde tribe, enjoying a traditional local lunch, visiting a banana or rice farm, and wandering through a lively market filled with fresh fruits and vegetables. In the late afternoon, head back to your hotel for a restful overnight stay.

The trip from the Highview Hotel to Tarangire National Park takes about two hours. The park is especially beautiful during the dry season when many migratory animals gather around the Tarangire River, which provides a reliable water source. You'll see large herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and Oryx in Tarangire until the rains come, which then leads them to move to greener pastures. In the afternoon, you'll head to the airport for your departure.
